String and overhead lighting
String lights on a pergola or between posts give warm ambient light for outdoor dining. They run on low-voltage outdoor cable and can be switched from the house. Overhead string lighting is the most requested lighting type for pergola builds in Red Deer.
Path and walkway lighting

Line-voltage lighting (120V or 240V) requires a licensed electrician, a permit, and a permanent circuit. Hot tub disconnect panels, exterior outlets for a dedicated circuit, and in-ground line voltage fixtures all fall in this category.
