Build With Us

We build composite and treated lumber decks, fences, and structural outdoor work across Red Deer and Central Alberta. We are growing, and we would rather hire for character and drive than for a resume that ticks boxes.

Why Here

What It Is Actually Like

Work through the winter, if you want it

The build season runs spring through fall. When the yards freeze we move inside and do interior renovations: kitchens, bathrooms, basements. For someone versatile enough to run both, that is year round work instead of a November layoff and a scramble in April. Not everyone wants to swing between the two, and that is fine. If you do, we would rather keep you than rehire you in the spring.

Check our standard before you apply

Most companies tell you they care about quality. We drew ours. There are cross-section drawings on this site showing how we frame a deck, where the joist tape goes, why the blocking is staggered so opposing screws never meet, and how deep the footings sit. Go look at them. If that is not already the standard you work to, we are probably not a fit and you will have saved us both a conversation.

The owner is on the tools

David is on site, not behind a desk. You work alongside the person who owns the outcome, which means you get answers without waiting and the standard is not theoretical. It also means leading from the front is the actual expectation, not a line in a job ad.

Room to move up

Lead hand, site supervisor, project roles. We are small enough that the people who drive production get noticed, and growing enough that there is somewhere for them to go. Where that leads for you is a conversation we would rather have with you than advertise.

The Practical Stuff

  • Health spending account after a 3 month probation
  • Performance bonus weighted to results rather than hours
  • Competitive pay based on experience and what you bring
  • Training in composite decking, framing, and jobsite standards
  • A crew that works hard, laughs along the way, and backs each other up
Full-timePermanent

Foreman / Lead Hand / Experienced Carpenter

$26.00 to $40.00 per hour

A production leadership role for someone who can walk onto a jobsite and run it. You lead one crew from day one, with a clear path to two active sites as we scale.

We are looking to balance David’s time across a couple of crews, which means we need someone experienced enough to hold the vision, the production, and the code compliance without hand-holding. We build above and beyond code, not just to it.

How to Apply

Email us at [email protected] with a short note on your experience and why this role fits where you are at, plus your resume or work history. Informal is fine. Tell us what you have built.
